David
Gutierrez
David joined Airworthiness
Worldwide in March 2000. Prior to becoming one of our associates, David
worked for eight years as Manager of Maintenance Planning and Projects for TAESA
Airlines in Mexico. He brings with him a wealth of experience in
maintenance planning, production control, technical contracts, and records.
In his capacity, David also was instrumental during the process of reception and
redelivery of aircraft, and he interacted regularly and developed solid
relationships with the FAA and DGAC authorities. Key projects with which
he was involved include FAA certification of the maintenance base in Toluca,
Mexico, FAA certification of TAESA’s Avionics Shop in Mexico City, development
of MEL procedures, development of major check procedures, and development of an
aircraft maintenance control computer program.
David
gained additional experience in the capacities of Manager of Planning and
Control, Maintenance Technical Instructor, and as an Instruments Mechanic for
Mexicana Airlines at which he worked for 13 years. He also served as a
professor at the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico with the course
“Thermodynamics Analysis of Gas Turbine Engines.” David holds a degree
in Aeronautical Engineering, a DGAC airframe and power plant license, and a DGAC
aircraft instruments license. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
